An all year round experience
Lino Cutting
Our popular lino cutting workshop, taught by Carine Eunson
Glen Dye are proud to introduce another experience that we run all year round. Lino cutting is an exciting and hands on crafting skill, available to all.
Join Carine Eunson for this wonderful craft workshop, on site at Glen Dye. You will leave the workshop with 5-10 cards with your new design on them.
What is Lino cutting?
Lino cutting is a printmaking technique first displayed in 1911, where a design is cut into the sheet of lino using a knife and chisel. Once you have finished your design, you’ll be left with a printable area. You’ll then cover this with an ink of your choice, and roll it onto your cards.
Your teacher will be Carine Eunson who graduated from Gray’s School of Art in 2000 with an honour’s degree in Fine Art – Printmaking. She draws inspiration for her work from the nature that surrounds her.
