What is Cuttlefish Casting?
Cuttlefish casting is a fun and quick way to create a design out of cooled metal.
This method of casting pendants using molten metal and cuttlefish bone has been used for years. A design is hand carved into cuttlefish bone, which can withstand high temperatures. Metal is then heated into a molten state and poured into the cast, leaving you with a 3D model of your cast once the metal has cooled and hardened.
Your Instructor:
Your instructors will be Max and Eden Jolly who has been developing his expertise with furnaces and casting molten metal since 1992. He works with a variety of metals and uses age old traditional methods and materials for both moulds and casting.
