Glen Dye School of Wild Wellness & Bushcraft
We have five exciting experiences for you to choose from
Glen Dye Cabins and Cottages are delighted to announce the launch of this permanent new programme which is being run all year round by resident experts Stu and Pip Wright.
Glen Dye is the perfect setting for a holistic wilderness venture. With 15,000 acres of woodland, hills, moors and a river, our guests can enjoy activities such as forest bathing, hiking and cold water therapy right on their doorstep.
All classes are designed to be equal parts challenging, engaging, rewarding and fun. Most are suitable for all ages. The Winter Wild Wellness and Bushcraft programme will begin in October.
Your Instructors
PIP WRIGHT
Pip Wright is our resident Wild Wellness Specialist and Wild Swimming Instructor.
Pip grew up in the Highlands where she spent most of her time outside, exploring her parents’ woodland. She studied Sport Science and Human Biology before joining the Army and served widely. Pip was the first ever female army commando.
At Glen Dye Pip’s work will focus on Wild Wellness and river swimming.
“At Glen Dye I want to help others to gain exposure to -and ignite interest in- nature and the endless benefits of being outdoors. I truly believe that whatever your lifestyle, you must find time to look after yourself. Glen Dye is the perfect place to do this”.
STU WRIGHT
Stu Wright is our resident Bushcraft and Survival Expert.
Stu grew up outdoors, building dens, climbing trees and making weapons. He served in the Army for twelve years, where he became an instructor with a wide skill base.
At Glen Dye Stu will run our Bushcraft and Survival Programmes.
“Glen Dye is the perfect, wilderness-based location where people can learn a completely new set of skills. The Bushcraft School is relaxing, inspiring, and gives people the chance to reconnect with nature and grow individually, as a family, or as a team.”
