We can’t guarantee a White Christmas, although they do happen a lot at Glen Dye! But, what we can guarantee for all guests staying with us at Christmas this year:
- A fully decorated Christmas Tree, grown by us on the estate.
- A fully made wreath on the door of your cottage.
- Mince pies and brandy butter for all.
- Tickets to a festive family favourite in our cinema, please book using the link below. The Christmas Cinema is only available to guests staying with us this year. Choose between The Polar Express on Christmas Eve or Paddington in Peru on New Year’s Eve.
Great things to do at Glen Dye over Christmas
With miles of tracks, Glen Dye has an abundance of walks and wintery scenery to enjoy. Clachnaben is the perfect nearby hike for fantastic, unspoilt views of the glen.
St. Cyrus Beach is just a short drive away for a brisk sea breeze and a perfect place to have fish and chips by the coast.
Further afield, Aberdeen transforms into a winter wonderland with the opening of it’s Christmas Village from 13th November to the 31st December.
Whatever you get up to during your stay at Glen Dye, you can be assured you will be taken care of.

Walks at Glen Dye
The Scottish Highlands are known for their mountains, glens, deep lochs and ancient woods. It is a beautiful place and one that begs to be explored.
Glen Dye cabins and cottages are situated in a prime position for embracing the outdoors. Entirely enveloped by forest and rolling hills, there are a number of different hiking routes from the doorstep. Here we have shared a handful of our favourites.
These walks vary in levels and range from short to long routes, with some being challenging, others not so challenging, but all equally as enjoyable.
