OUR DIETARY POLICY
We host a number of events here at Glen Dye. Most of them centre around food, from communal feasts to foraging sessions. We hope this page helps you make an informed decision before booking your place at one of our events.
As ever, if in doubt, please ask! We’re a friendly bunch and we’ll always be here to help.
GOOD STUFF TO KNOW
The food we serve at our events is best suited for those willing and able to try a range of ingredients. We have a clear focus on seasonality and locality in our food, so you can be certain the food you eat in the glen is as fresh as it gets, whether that’s wild and foraged foods or exceptional local game, dairy, meat, fruit and veg.
Due to the scale of our events, and in order to make sure we deliver first-rate food, we are only able to accommodate a limited range of dietary requests at our food events.
All of our food events are small in scale. That’s the way we like it and we know you do, too. The menus and plates on offer are created, prepared and delivered by our team (and often a great guest chef) in our small kitchen or often over fire in the woods or beside the River Dye. Therefore, creating a separate menu for specific dietary needs is not always possible.
To help you make an informed decision before you book, we always show the complete set of allergens for each menu on our website. They are always printed on physical menus, too.
Dietary needs should be communicated, and approved, ahead of your booking where possible.
Preferences and dislikes do not need to be communicated to us. These menus are about the experience, adventure and fun our team and guest chefs can have using the ingredients on offer at Glen Dye. So go on, try it, you might even love it!
If you suffer from an allergy or intolerance, please note that we cannot guarantee our dishes are completely allergen-free. All ingredients are handled by a small team of chefs, often in a small kitchen or in the woods to be cooked over fire.
Please let our team know if you have a serious allergy before booking. We will always do our best to accommodate you and help you make an informed decision.
We often host seasonally specific feasts focusing on a particular ingredient, such as wild venison. In these cases vegetarian/vegan options are unlikely to be available.
And finally, if you have already booked and discover that our menu is not suitable for you or a member of your party, please let us know as soon as possible. Cancelling your booking early enough may mean we can offer a refund.
Event tickets can be returned or refunded up to 14 days before the event starts. Returned tickets are not refundable or exchangeable within 14 days of the event. If you miss an event, we cannot refund you.
