Weddings at Glen Dye
Glen Dye is a private estate of around 15,000 acres and our cabins and cottages sit slap bang at its centre, surrounded by wilderness forest and moorland on the banks of the River Dye.
We have a number of spots to that are perfect for a spectacular wedding ceremony and party. We have plenty of options, though our pick would be down at The Saw Mill or at Garden Camp. Or perhaps you would prefer the the sunshine-yellow-floored Smiddy? We also have the Wood Shed, complete with a 1960s Landrover Defender as the perfect wedding decoration.
THE CEREMONY
We have a number of spots to host your ceremony, whether in the woods nearby one of our properties, or down at The Sawmill. We can host intimate elopements or larger gatherings – all Glen Dye weddings are bespoke.
THE FOOD
Food is at the centre of all of our events.
From wood-fired pizzas to hogget roasted over open flames, we have a number of expert contacts and suppliers we are happy to share with you.
THE ACCOMMODATION
Book our perfect holiday cottages as part of your wedding. Each has an outdoor, wood-fired hot tub and one has its own river cabin. The converted estate Saw Mill is a private paradise; this has a 1955 Airstream with a giant bed, a fully restored kitchen, a spectacular outdoor shower and a hot tub.
OUR WEDDING PACKAGES
Steading Package 2024
£19,500 inclusive of VAT
Accommodation for 40-46 people at The Steadings (in 6 cottages plus Garden Camp).
Available for bookings Monday-Friday or Friday-Monday.
Full use of The Woodshed event space (up to 60 seated to dine); The Smiddy (up to 40 seated); The Glen Dye Arms (up to 30 standing) for ceremony, reception, and wedding breakfast options.
Equipment included at The Woodshed for your use:
- Catering kitchen: Fully equipped and including dishwasher, fridge/freezer, convection oven, portable induction hobs, cleaning supplies, waste facilities.
- Rustic wooden trestle tables
- Mixture of coloured metal chairs, and wooden chairs. Crockery, cutlery, and glassware.
- Record player and speakers, small selection of records.
- Bose Speaker (S1 Pro PA) with Bluetooth connectivity.
Additional Information:
- There are options for an outdoor ceremony (please note that you may wish to hire a canopy).
- A small number of campervan pitches are available on request.
Elopement Package 2024
£3,195 inclusive of VAT
Accommodation for 2-4 people for 3 nights (at The Sawmill: Airstream & Keepers’ Hut)
Full use of The Sawmill grounds for ceremony and reception for up to 10 people.
Available for bookings Monday to Friday or Friday to Monday.
Additional Information:
- Intimate open air woodland ceremony options available (please note that you may wish to hire a canopy).
- Tables, chairs, crockery, cutlery, and glassware for up to 10 people included.
- Additional guest accommodation available on request
The Luxe Package 2024
£5,950 inclusive of VAT
Accommodation for up to 14 people in Number 4 and Number 5 Steadings
Use of the Smiddy for indoor ceremonies and wedding breakfast (up to 30 seated); or the outdoor area of Number 4 for ceremonies (up to 30 standing) followed by wedding breakfast in the Smiddy.
Included in the Smiddy for your use:
Rustic trestle tables
Mixture of colourful metal folding and rustic wooden chairs
Crockery, cutlery and glassware
Record player and small selection of records (feel welcome to bring your own!)

Terms & Conditions for weddings at Glen Dye Cabins & Cottages
A refundable security deposit of £1,000 is required, this will be reimbursed after your event less deductions for any breakages, damage, or excessive cleaning requirements (if applicable).
Bookings are not available over the Christmas and New Year period.
50% of the hire cost is due at the time of booking, the security deposit is due for payment with the final balance at 6 weeks prior to the booking date.
We operate an 11pm curfew out of respect for our other guests and residential tenants at Glen Dye.
